Hold Slag Thrower For ManslaughterPITTSBURGH, Aug. 24 —(/P)— A coroner's jury today ordered a 20-year-old youth held on charges of manslaughter in the July 5 auto death of Farris DeSafey of Canons-burg.DeSafey, 51, was killed when the car in which he was a passenger plunged over an embankment near Syrian Grove, about a mile from Bridgeville.The jury held Raymond Spotti, of Cuddy, after Philip Ahwesh, 28. of Canonsburg, driver of the car, testified he lost control of the vehicle when he was struck In the face by a piece of slag thrown by Spotti.Four of Spotti’s companions were ordered held as accessories after the fact. They were John Spotti, 2l, Raymond's brother; Hugh P. O’Donnell, Jr., 25; James Weir, 29; and Joseph Zalesky, 20. all of Cuddy.Ahwesh. a former Duquesne university fullback, said the slag-throwing followed a dispute over a girl.
