Little Girl lluu OverLast night about 9 o'clock the little girl of Will Hamler, of Exira, was knocked over by a man riding a bicycle, the accident occuring at the corner of Fourth and Chestnut streets, Although not badly injured the child was bruised considerably aud frightened so that it made her sick. She started to cross the street from Worthing’s cor ner to Bailey's and had gone but a little ways until the wheelman, who was riding rapidly, struck her and- knocked her down. She was not struck squarely but the front wheel just touched her aud the handle bars or pedals struck her. The rider did not ring his bell on approaching the crossing aud after he had run into her he rode on down street at increased speed without turning around to see who it was he had run into or whether she was hurt or not. Persons who saw the accident could not remember whether he had a lantern or not, and it \vas thought that he was afraid to turn around for fear he would be arrested for violating the city ordinance. There has been considerable complaint lately of wheelman riding down Chestnut street at high speed after night especially when they rideseven or eight abreast. The pedestrain finds
