Seek damages in suits filed in district courtA breach of contract suit wasamong three new actions filed Friday in Jones county districtcourt.The action was brought byLawrence Conmey, Anamosa, Iowa, Des Moines. The defendant sells health insurance.Conmey charges that the defendant has refused to pay $1,395.55 in hospital bills and $150 in doctor bills incurred by his spouse,Donna, deceased, from Oct. 19, 1971 to April 30, 1972. He furtherstates that he had obtained aninsurance plan from the defendant prior to that time.The plaintiff asks judgment of $1,289.55 actual damages and $1,000 exemplary damages.In a suit filed Thursday, JohnTasker seeks $148.24 actual damages and $5,000 exemplary damages from Kenneth Jorgensen.Tasker maintains that the defendant assaulted him Feb. 7,1973 at Big Bill’s Feed Mill in Onslow. He further claims that Jorgensen struck him with his fist in the face, causing a laceration of the lower lip and contusion of thejaw.The plaintiff states that he incurred $68.24 for medical and hospital expense and that he missed four days of work and that the sum of $80 was deducted from his sick leave time.Dayton Yousse, dba Dayton's Refrigeration filed two account suits Friday. He seeks $255.21 from Bert E. Coleman, Cedar Rapids, and $241.18 from RichardCovington, Prairieburg.Among new actions in criminalcourt are two charges filed againstDouglas Picray. He is chargedwith breaking and entering andassault with intent to inflict great bodily harm.The charges stem from an incident occurring Jan. 16, 1972 at Monticello Implement when Paul Lumpa, an employee, surprised Picray inside the building.A charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating beverage was filed against Robert Allen Hoffman. It stems from a one-car accident occurring March 3 near Langworthy.
