Invermere 2B report says a nine year old son of Mr. Patterson, Athalmer schoolmaster, fired a small rifle loaded at home striking his five year old sister through the brain. The child survives but recovery is hopeless. Mr Patterson recently arrived from Scotland.

On September 24 1913 David H McKay wed Annie Roe at the Presb Nan Diat seat with Rev. W K Thomson officiating. A small reception followed at the Marshall home with decorations and a wedding supper. The groom manages The Palm and Pioneer confectionery in Cran Tadok. the bride arrived from West Hartlepool eighteen months ago.
