The Cranbrook divorce case Doran versus Doran with William Guerard as co respondent began with a petition for misconduct heard in Cranbrook then adjourned for more evidence. It returned before Justice Macdonald in Vancouver where an absolute decree was pronounced with Wm F Doran as petitioner represented by Mr T T Mecredy. The suit was undefended.
Cranbrook Orchestra Dance In St Marys Hall
The Cranbrook Orchestra will give a dance on Monday at St Marys Hall. Dancing starts at 9 30 p m with refreshments priced 76c per couple and 26c for an extra lady. The event aims for good patronage and common time with four pieces by the orchestra.

Bear Hunt Tale Turns On Fort Steele Bulldog
Fred Ryckman an Indian constable told a bear story at Fort Steele claiming a 500 pound monster bear killed twenty of his pigs. A night vigil led by George Geary culminated in a belated attack, only to discover the culprit was Ryckman’s own bulldog, who had feasted on the hogs for nights. Fort Steele residents slept soundly after.
