Better Business Methods Discussed by Rotarian Members
About two dozen business and professional men in the city attended a Rotary open discussion on better business methods and Rotarian ethics. The 23 member Rotary Club welcomed 24 visitors, with hosts and guests listed from local banks, businesses, and organizations. Guests were escorted to table seating at the Y M C A dining room where a supper, arranged by Mrs. McNeil, was served.

Fifth member joins staff of Herald this week
Jus O. Smith arrived Wednesday evening from Summerland to take a make-up man and spare operator post with the Herald. He previously worked on the Weekly Scotsman in Edinburgh and the Summerland Review, and holds a Typographical Union card, making him the third of five staffers with union qualification. A stereotyping outfit is imminent, expanding advertising and news features and enabling cuts from mats and stereos to be produced in house.

City Constable Suffers Accident While Hunting
On Wednesday a shooting party including Charlie Johnson city constable and Mesers C A Towriss Parkins and Win Whiting went to Lumberton for a day of hunting. Johnson slipped on a sidehill the rifle dropped struck rock discharged passing through the left leg abdomen and reappearing above the right thigh. The bullet damaged keys in pockets and was later extracted by Towriss. Johnson recovered his gun fired to attract companions and Whiting arrived about forty five minutes later. He was carried about a mile and a half to Lumberton for hospital. Latest reports say he rested well with no complications yet feared.
