Kaien Island debate drains session with heated print dispute
In Victoria on March 8 the legislature heatedly debated the Kaien Island land grant inquiry after the king's printer omitted minority motion notes from the Votes and Proceedings. Macdonald and others attacked the printing decision as improper while the premier and speaker clashed over procedure. The day also saw Master and Servant Act amendments and Columbia and Western subsidy debates.
