The six day Chautauqua opens tomorrow under a big brown tent led by Mr Black and university student helpers. Miss Leona Smith chairs the event though Miss Bess Steere will act as superintendent for the opening, with a parade and junior games prior. School Board Holds Monthly Meeting and Plans Additions

School Board Advances Commercial Training And Staffing
The board discussed funding for a new commercial course with about twenty five to thirty percent of costs likely from the district. Twenty largest size plans will be ordered for fall term opening at the High School. The Department of Education may defray half the equipment cost up to 500 dollars. Junior Teens Hold Masquerade Dance With Wide Range of Costumes
Saturday evening the junior teen age members of the C RC hosted a masquerade dance starting at 8 30 with the junior Jazz orchestra providing music. Costumes ranged from Spanish Dancer to Old Dutch Cleanser and Clowns with refreshments at 11 30. The event ended with lively remarks and a sense of a whale of a time.

Windermere District Names New Curate In Charge
The Rev F B Atkinson ordained deacon of the Church of England has been made curate in charge of the Windermere missionary diocese. Horace Jones and Walter Stoddart began June 1 as official enumerators for the district under the Census Act. R J Lesteh from Cornwall Ontario, a student from Saskatoon Presbyterian college, is a temporary charge here for the holiday months.
