Editorial Notes on Liberal Nominees and Canadian Press Ethics
The Cranbrook Herald editors discuss Duncan Ross as Liberal nominee for Yale Cariboo, praise Billy Galliher, critique party partisanship, and urge a news culture free of coloring. They question election timing, note BC Socialists' troubles, and reference lumber and mining topics while urging honest reporting and local progress.

Estimates show reduced expenditures in most departments
The Victoria estimates tabled this afternoon show a net expenditure cut of about $50,000 from 1903. Public debt rises sharply, civil government salaries and justice administration fall, education and transportation rise slightly, and public works drop. Regional allocations include Cariboo and Lillooet receiving $10,000 each, with additional road and bridge projects across several districts. The British Columbia budget also notes no provision for Nelson and Rossland as they are now city constituencies.
