North American Fish & Game Protective association at Albany 1908 calls for setting aside Goat Mountain region in south eastern British Columbia as a game and forest reserve. The area between Wi and Hull rivers, about 450 square miles, rich with mountain goat deer sheep and other wildlife, with no valuable timber coal or farmland. Reserve would benefit Canada and the world by preserving wild life and scenery for centuries.

Calgary trade notes say J. Shoultz vice president of the Alberta Oil Wheat and Railway company and wife returned from an eastern trip. He sold railway hands guaranteed by the town at par and the line now seems assured. The PR plans to send an engineer to survey a route into town and determine tapping points for the new line. An order will be placed for ties and material and work should begin soon.
