Leap Year Dance by Ladies Auxiliary Averts Tradition
The Ladies' Auxiliary of the War Veterans' Association hosted a novelty Leap Year dance with reverse roles and ladies inviting gentlemen. Ted Laurie won the ladies prize in a whist drive, Mrs G Smith won the gentlemen’s prize, and proceeds of 387.60 funded refreshments for the forthcoming GWAVA Annual Ball on February 17.
