Charles Magee veteran Canadian Pacific engineer dies
The city mourns Charles Magee a 72 year old veteran railroad man who died December 24 at St Eugene Hospital after a five day illness. Born 1850 in Quebec he began on the Grand Trunk in 1868 and joined Canadian Pacific in 1885 becoming its oldest engineer. Funeral held December 28 at St Marys Church with many tributes from CPR officials and rail unions.

Passing of School By Law Requires Tax Hike for Central School Additions
