Christmas in the Churches Special Services Across City
Christmas services were held in all city churches with festive decorations and special music. Archdeacon Beer officiated at Christ Church morning Holy Communion, Knox Church featured soloists, and choirs at Methodist and Baptist churches performed carols and anthems. Congregations were unusually large with Christmas sermons highlighting the season.

A whist drive raised 14 50 for the Navy League. A patriotic library was gifted to Waldo School. December 10 shipments to Fernie listed Red Cross items. Victory Bonds Set Canadian Record for Subscriptions
The Victory Loan drive in Canada attracted 782 714 subscribers, roughly one in ten of the population, surpassing Britain's prior ratio and surpassing the US Liberty Loan.
