The Caledonian Society held its regular monthly meeting and social on Monday night. A J Chisholm spoke on The Early History of Canada, followed by a duet Schubert's Serenade by Mrs Coutts and Mrs MacDonald. The Coutts choir performed My Love is Like a Red Red Rose Kate Dalrymple and A Hundred Pipers. Mr J M Coutts sang Hurrah for the Highlands and The March of the Cameron Men. The Wiggle Waggle danced, then a hearty repast followed by more dancing and Auld Lang Syne to close.

Rotarians Attend Tacoma District Meeting This Week
Rotary leaders J. F. Scott and C. N. Jacobson traveled from Cranbrook to Spokane to ride the Rotary special to Tacoma for the District One gathering. About fifty clubs from BiC Washington Oregon and Alaska joined opening sessions Sunday night with a religious tone and a varied conference program through Tuesday and a ball. Wednesday offered a Rotary golf day for attendees. Mr and Mrs W F Attridge joined the group and on the return trip Mrs Wilson and Miss Jean may travel home with Mr Wilson. In Vancouver Fink plans to visit his daughter Wanda who runs a music studio.

Odd Fellows Observe 108th Anniversary with Service
Local Odd Fellows and Rebekahs marked the 108th anniversary of their order with a Sunday evening gathering at the lodge room. Members paraded to the Baptist Church for a service led by Rev. W. H. MacNeil who spoke on Friendship Love and Truth. The church choir performed There Is a Land of Pure Delight and Ivory Palaces, and the congregation joined in well known hymns before the procession returned to the lodge room.

By Law Voting On May 11 In Suburban High School Plans
Voters will decide between two by law proposals for a new high school building or a five room auditorium with costs around 25 000 and 45 000 respectively. Nearly Half Million Trout Fry Placed in Windermere Waters
At the Windermere District Rod and Gun Club annual meeting, A M Chisholm outlined the club history and its work since 1919. Since reorganization in 1924 the club planted tens of thousands of Brook, Kamloops, and Cut Throat trout in Windermere Creek and nearby lakes, totaling about 490000 fry over three years. The effort included egg and fry plantings, support from Cranbrook Hatchery, and cooperation from local government and fisheries officials.
