Obituary of Miss Emma Leitch in Cranbrook and Lethbridge
Last Saturday morning at 4 o clock Miss Emma Leitch died in a Cranbrook hospital tent after a long battle with throat tuberculosis. Daughter of Mr and Mrs A Leitch she spent several years in Cranbrook before moving to Lethbridge for care. Her death ended a turbulent illness endured with notable dignity and left a large circle of mourners in both communities.

Miss Jessie Mc Lachlan and Miss Dean presented a fine concert in Cranbrook. Mc Lachlan’s strong wide range voice sang Scotch and patriotic pieces to rousing applause. Dean’s violin display showed delicate touch and deep expression. Encores were frequent and the performers thanked the Presbyterian church ladies.
