Not for Women at Cowra Farm Ends Training School
Mr. Dann of the Midsley for Agriculture, with the Under Secretary, decided to close the women’s farm training school at Cowra Experiment Farm opened in 1917. He said training women in general farming and wheat growing is unnecessary now and that women are better suited to poultry, dairy, beekeeping, and horticulture. He plans to train soldiers in farming at Cowra instead, accommodating 25 for six months.
