Fife Registration Courts Fail to Enfranchise Voters
In Dunfermline on Friday the 11th, the adjourned diet of the Fife Registration Court saw none of Lord Elgin's claimed voters appear to take oaths. all claims were rejected except those of Lord Elgin's servants. A Kilkaldy court on Monday the 14th also failed to compel Lord Ellenborough to depone, as he abandoned his vote. The Fife Herald notes the repeated, unsuccessful attempt to manufacture votes.
