Military Court Martial Opens Over Gore Charge in Oxford Street

A court martial convened for Lieutenant Colonel Gore of the Coldstream Guards to answer a charge of unbecoming conduct. Witnesses described Gore and Corporal Samuel George in a public house on August 2 as Gore allegedly drank beer and engaged with George while a drunken scene unfolded, with various witnesses identifying Gore by dress and appearance.
