Sale of Goods by Order of the Customs at London

A public sale in London on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th inst at the Commercial Sale Rooms Mincing Lane offers export and home consumption goods. Items include East India goods textiles books prints and pictures and home goods such as linen drapery jewellery silk worm gut and spirits. Vessels and materials for shipbuilding also appear. Viewing at Tobacco Ground Rotherhithe and King’s Warehouse. Catalogues 1s. Proceeds to fines and forfeitures office. Division orders praise officers for actions against Beni Boo Ali and report casualties and returns from the Bombay campaign.

Siege victory at Boo Ali fort under General Lionel Smith

A dispatch from Camp Beni Boo Ali dated March 3 1821 reports Major-General Lionel Smith commanding a division in action against Beni Boo Ali. British forces repelled the attack, seized the fortified position, with heavy enemy losses and 236 captured with 96 wounded, while the two principal chiefs were taken prisoner.

British Win Mocha Treaty After Naval Bombardment Assault

An extended coastal engagement ends with a British victory at Mocha. Captains Bruce and Lumley lead bombardment against north and south forts. heavy losses on both sides. A peace treaty on January 15 1821 secures guard rights free ingress for the British Resident and other trade protections.
