Pedestrian Abernethy, after starting from Sloane Street Friday, aimed for 113 miles on the Exeter road and back in 72 hours totaling 225 miles. He reached 76 miles in 24 hours, 75 more on Sunday, then 74 more to finish near Hartley Row before collapsing to nature and arriving by morning coach.
