BRIGHTON RAILWAY SHARES CALLED IN FOR PAYMENT
A dated notice from London November 6 1840 informs that Directors of the Brighton and London Railway Company have require the payment of ten pounds per share on or before December next to bankers Payne and Smiths and associates. The notice lists various supporting banks and solicits shareholders to settle the amount. The document also details lectures and promotes the Metropolitan Provincial and General Agency Institution, with services for advertising and distribution to newspapers nationwide.
