Dover Fishermen Drowned In Bay After Boat Dragged Ashore
Two brothers named Reynolds from the Blue Eyed Maid of Dover were drowned about a mile off the harbor while attempting to land baskets of fish. The smack cast off its tow line, the boat rove, and both men were washed overboard. One clung to a line but could not hold on, the other to the boat but could not keep it. both sank despite efforts. Bodies not recovered. Both were married. Wind blew southeasterly. accident occurred off the bay.
