Russian Imperial Dispatch on Dombrowski’s Retreat and Victory
A military report dated late August to September describes General Dombrowski marching from Mohilew with his corps, looting provisions, and planning to block Bobruisk. The Imperial forces, including Don Cossacks and Smolensk infantry, repulsed attacks near Glusk and Wiltscha, captured a hospital and several officers, and forced the enemy to retreat to prevent link to Bobruisk. The engagement yielded heavy enemy losses, secured Magazines, and allowed safe provisioning routes.
