Protestant Ascendancy dinner at Maidstone honors Kent Club
The Star Inn gathering in Maidstone drew about two hundred guests including Earl Winchilsea and Sir Edward Knatchbull to celebrate the Kent Constitutional Brunswick Club. Toasts praised the Protestant Constitution, civil and religious liberties, and leadership of local figures amid discussions on Catholic Emancipation and constitutional rights.
