House of Commons Adopts Bill to Replace Slave Capture Bounty
The House met after recess at 3:30 with forty members present. The Chancellor of the Exchequer moved to adjourn to Thursday. A bill to replace the bounty on the capture of slaves was introduced and ordered to a second reading on Thursday. Thanks were given to Chaplain Dawson for his sermon. The Black Rod summoned the House to the Lords and back. The Royal Assent was announced for 115 bills. The House adjourned to Thursday next.
