Cotton market activity in London and Liverpool report

The London New Price Current notes cotton purchases up to Tuesday totaling about 4,000 bags, mainly East India descriptions with 2,150 Surats and numerous Bengals, traded largely by export houses. Boweds in bond see demand and prices rise by 0.25 to 0.5 pence per pound. Liverpool cargo sales on March 22 show the market remaining fairly quiet.
