Forgery Trends Across London Bankers’ Assoc Members
A solicitor’s report to the Society for Prosecution of Forgery summarizes forged cheque activity from 1832 to March 1835 across twenty four London Bankers’ Association firms. It notes seven forgeries from January to August 1832 after capital punishment was abolished and forty eight forgeries from August 1832 to August 1833.
