King's Court at Pall Mall Privy Council and Levee

A Royal Court at the Palace in Pall Mall included senior ministers and officials. The Privy Council sworn Caven dish Fulke Greville as Clerk, and reports on capital convicts were reviewed. A levee followed with numerous dukes, barons, bishops, generals, ambassadors, and judges presenting themselves to the King.

Canning Receives Court of Directors Farewell Note

The East India Company Court of Directors reads a formal letter of regret to George Canning on his resignation as President of the Board of Control. Canning replies with thanks and recalls his noninterference in nominations while defending his record, and bids farewell to the proprietors. The court adjourns after initial motions and inquiries about peace in India and prize money distribution.
