Somersetshire Coal Canal Supervision Wanted In Bath Area

A prospectus seeks a general superintendent and biager of the Somersetshire Coal Canal and connected rail links. Monument To His Majesty Public Monument Sub Committee Report

A meeting at Thatched House Tavern chaired by the Earl of Liverpool reviewed the public subscription for a monument to His late Majesty. Subscriptions totaled 4648 pounds 7 shillings 2d with 2590 pounds 11 shillings 2d paid to Messrs Drummonds. 2057 pounds 11 shillings remained unpaid. The committee reported progress on Wyatt’s model horses, but no competition was sought.
