Petition parchment signs prompt court rebuke at Lincoln's Inn

In open court Sir Edward Sugden protested against large skins of parchment bearing signatures to a Parliamentary reform petition left in the Court of Chancery. The Lord Chancellor agreed the matter improper and ordered the parchments removed. Sir Edward left after thanks to the judge.

War in Poland and Polish siege at Praga reported

Paris dispatches relay a letter from Praga dated March 22 describing hard fighting on the 19th and 21st, with Russians repulsed at bayonet point and a temporary truce for burying dead. Polish camp spirit strong, artillery well commanded, and communication with Warsaw maintained across the Vistula. Reports note two Russian generals lost, Diebitsch narrowly escaped, and Polish wounded and prisoners at Praga and Warsaw. No decisive breakthrough by the Russians as of date of letter.
