Debates on Catholic Emancipation and Test Acts in Lords

In the Lords on March 6 Peadarves and others moved the Truro Road Bill. Shaftesbury presented a Sarum clergy petition against further Catholic concessions while Macclesfield urged repeal of the Test and Corporation Acts. Petitions also came from Protestant Dissenters in Oxford and from various congregations in London and Birmingham as the House adjourned.
