The House of Lords in Wronxipay granted royal assent to bills including The Property Tax, the Australia and New Zealand, the Metropolitan Patent Wood Paving Company’s, the Berrybrides and Borobridge Road, the Charter-house Estate, Britwell Salome Inclosure, and Kilcologton Inclosure. Bills passed at third reading include Burntisland and Granton Pier and Ferry, Carlow Roads, Viscount Fitzwithan’s Estate, and Cleveland's Estate.

A committee chaired by Mr O Con nell met yesterday at one o clock in a closed room not open to the public. After two hours the panel settled its preliminary arrangements and adjourned to Tuesday next. One committee will not be opened to the public.
The theatre world mourns Frederick Yates, famed performer and manager of the Theatre Royal Adelphi, who died Tuesday afternoon at the Euston Hotel after a series of heart vessel ruptures. Earlier injuries during performances and a recent Dublin episode weakened him, and arrival in London did not restore hope. He passed away after a week under care in London near Brompton square.
Frederick Yates, longtime Adelphi manager and leading comic actor, died in Ireland after a Dublin rehearsal. Born 1797, he rose from Covent Garden to direct the Adelphi with Mathews, bringing novelty and energy to London theatre. his death will alter Adelphi management and minor theatre practices.
