Committee to refer inquiry to late Commissioners for opinion

The Committee of the Commissioners of the Board of Excise referred the twentieth report to Sir Henry Parnell and Mr Henry Berens for examination and opinion. Mr Hume lamented the slow progress on recommendations. Mr F Bar ing said progress was made despite limited time, noting spending reductions and government willingness to act. An Hon Member moved to count the House, but fewer than forty members were present, and the House adjourned at 7:15.
