King's Proctor case over royal wills in prerogative court

The Prerogative Court of Canterbury hears Olive claiming probate of a royal will of George III era. Dr Lushington argues kings have long held the right to wills, cites Coke and Comyn, explains retroactive Act clauses, and asks the court to probate the paper if genuine, or punish fraud if not. The levee at Carlton House follows with dense attendance and receptions.
