Reports from Bucharest dated June describe the Turkish frontiers being heated as Russia presses for major terms. Russia seeks Moldova and Walachia, greater military contributions, and a payment of indemnities while threatening continued operations if terms are not met. A Russian advance nears the besieged areas, with Austrian and German observers noting heavy campaigning and shifting lines.
In a King’s Bench session a jury returned a verdict of Lunacy after hearing a convoluted trial over a debt for lace and alleged contraband goods. Witnesses described the defendant’s chilling admission and a prince’s servant’s fatal gunfire within Carlton House.
An inquest was held yesterday afternoon at the Light Horse public house in Orange capurt on the body of Mr Awonew Tednern, one of the servants of His Royal Highness the Princess of Warus. They engaged at Pondstrost Hamstead with heavy cannonade and mutual repulsion, the opposing party driven back toward the draw of the Hiv while the assailants pressed from two directions, leading to a grand encounter as the two sides attempted to overpower each other.
