Notice of General Court of the East India Company

The East India Company Court of Directors calls a general court at Leadenhall Street on Monday the 19th at eleven o'clock to continue examining papers about the late Rajah of Sattara. Board secretary James C. Melvill announces. Public notices follow for life assurance plans, Dublin warehousing sale, and various commercial advertisements from Price and Co. and other firms.

Royal Regiment Promotions from the London Gazette 1841

From The London Gazette July 1841 details numerous commissions and exchanges in the British Army. Promotions include Cornet Percival to Lieutenant, Spicer and others to Captain, and many Ensigns and Lieutenants moved by purchase or without purchase across Dragoon Guards, Foot regiments, and Royal Canadian Regiment.
