The Wellington Shield case injuncts against shield sale
Mr. Ttart sought an injunction to restrain defendants from exhibiting or selling a shield named The Wellington Shield made with dies belonging to the plaintiff. The plaintiff, who began a national medal series before 1916, alleged breach of trust and unauthorized use of his dies for a decorative shield. The court granted the injunction, finding the defendants breached their agreement to use only the plaintiff’s dies for his orders and that the shield infringed the plaintiff’s rights.

Fraudulent wine and receipts case ends in damages
In a complex 1819–1820 bankruptcy dispute, Bathe and Holding allegedly devised a scheme to move wine and goods through false receipts while paying and recording credits to conceal true prices. Witnesses testified to forged or misused receipts, secret cellar holdings, and transfers of 2000 as part of the alleged fraud. The jury found damages for the plaintiffs totaling 2000.
