Montfort Case Over Lease Renewal Fine Dispute

LAW REPORT describes an appeal in the Court of Chancery over a 1772 marriage settlement involving Lord Montfort and Lady Montfort. Trustees had leased land to Montfort with rents to Lady Montfort, later disputes arose over a renewed lease fine created by Montfort’s improvements.
