London Steam Dock proposal outlines site and stock terms
The plan urges protection of works and rapid deployment for a London Steam Dock Company. Captain Brandreth inspects progress while Captain Beaufort approves the Thames frontage. A Greenwich Pier linked dock would extend the riverfront, with capacity for 100 steamers and coal depots. Subscriptions start at £100 with 4 percent interest and a board of eight to sixteen directors.
