Lords Debate on Appropriation and Small Notes Bill
In the House of Lords on February 24 the Appropriation Bill and the 10,000,000 Exchequer Billet were moved forward with papers on exports to the Netherlands. Lord Melville presented Edinburgh petitions against banking changes and abolition of small notes, while slavery petitions came from Herefordshire Cornwall York Taunton and others. Lords discussed the Landlord's Act and Corn Laws amid exchanges over Perth weavers and the Bread Tax, then ordered to lie on the table before adjourning.
