Hertford County Reform Meeting Urges Parliament Change
A large Hertfordshire assembly at the Town Hall urged reform of the House of Commons. Lord Dacre, Sir J. S, and Mr. Hats spoke, urging an “effectual and speedy” reform, and a petition was read opposing improper influence and advocating representation by population.
