Charity appeal for poverty in Middlesex watch industry parish
A distressed area in the northern parts of the metropolis especially among watch and clock manufacturers in St Luke parish Middlesex appeals for parish contributions and general relief. The committee notes donations from diverse regions and the 300 donation from the Association for the Relief of the Poor while warning that current funds are insufficient to meet rising weekly needs for bread soup clothing and money. thousands depend on aid and more donations are urged with acceptances of worn clothing and monetary subscriptions through listed contacts in Lombard Street Whitehall etc.
