A Royal order from Horse Guards dated April 5 1819 erases Lieutenants Hasker and King from the army list for insulting and challenging their former commanding officer Lieutenant Frederick. Inquest On Daniel Eege Brunt Drowned In Surrey Canal
An inquest at Princess Charlotte heard Daniel Nicholas Eege Brunt aged 55 drowned himself in the Surrey Canal. Evidence showed he suffered business stress and mood decline, withdrew from church and family, and left home to go to the City. A hat and coat were found near the bank and his body recovered two feet from shore. Verdict: temporary insanity.
