London Meeting Shows Royal Patronage For Relief Efforts
A July 1816 London assembly under His Royal Highness the Prince of York and other nobles discusses relief for the laboring poor. Donations from labelled patrons appear, with lists of benefactors and amounts. The notice also advertises a August 2 gala at Vauxhall with Madame Saqui, and theatre publications from Covent Garden and Conduit Street.
