The society reports record year receipts led by 662 annual subscribers and 548 donors totaling £913 14 0 plus dividends. Pensioners increased to 58 with total pensions paid £4 543 98 since formation. New pensions granted exceeded all prior years while cases for aid remain six candidates under examination. General presiding officer Duke of Cambridge unable to attend. Henry Kemble chaired the anniversary dinner.

The downs and Liverpool Belfast Bristol Glasgow and other locations report arrivals of tea from Shanghae Canton and China including Congou Souchong Young Hyson Imperial Gunpowder and Flowery Pekoe in hundreds of thousands of pounds and bales. Silk gunpowder and various goods are listed alongside ships Sappho John Cabot and Mountaineer with cargos of camwood palm oil elephants teeth sugar sheep tallow and more.

The departure rates for mail routes show New Orleans and Mobile at middling to fair 7 to 7 3/4 cents per pound. Uplands similar, 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 cents. Strong demand at New Orleans at full prices. Freights quoted were very low with little business transacted.
