The English Stock Market opened near yesterday's last quotations with Three Per Cent Consols at 94 and closing around 91.5. Railway shares rose slightly, but overall business was small and prices showed little variation. Weak money in Lombard Street kept good bills at around 5 percent. foreign stocks drifted higher yet modestly with limited turnover. A heavy Manchester failure was reported and markets anticipated continued hard fighting potentially ending in the Crimea. Arrivals at Cowes include the Johann from Porto Rico and ships from Havannah and Matanzas with sugar.
