A fragmentary 19th century cargo list notes vessels and consignments from Dublin including bees sugar rum saltpetre redwood lard beef salt sulphur charcoal and cigars. Mentions Emigrant Devonia Velocity and Conservative ships with quantities and goods such as guano silk wine and barrels.
A fragmented ledger lists vessels from China to New York and Bombay with cargoes including cotton 28,009 bales and sugar 980 cogsheadas. It details bales, casks, and crates of various goods such as dyewoods, gum arabic, hemp, hides, jute, mahogany, molasses, oil, rice, saltpetre, tea, wax, wool, and more, alongside port and origin notes and quantities.
A 18th century cargo ledger records goods arriving from the West Coast of Africa and listed cargos from multiple ships including Mauritius St Andrew's Odessa Zante and St Michaela. Entries show corn wheat fruit currants oranges elephants teeth palm oil sugar timber tin and numerous other commodities with quantities and vessel counts.
The foregoing vessels have passed Gravesend since our Jas and contain cargoes including the Jessie Thoms with 22 tons guano and the Northumbeland with 2118 brls turpentine, tobacco, beet, lard, pork, bark, oil cake, rosin, and rosia. other ships listed include the Princess Royal and City of Paris with varied goods such as tobacco, tar, and essential oils.
Havana reports scarce new sugar sales with insignificant spot activity and slight arrivals from the country. About 3000 boxes sold to a Spanish house at 4r for cucurochos or yellows, 8r for fine white. Weather rainy, grinding slow. London exchange at 14 to 108 percent premium.
