The editor notes a fair meat supply at metropolitan markets with steady prices despite soft demand. Beef prime and inferior, veal, pork, lamb, and mutton prices are listed with ranges. Poultry trade is steadier and more favorable, with salesmen hoping for engagement from rising and middle class buyers and moderate supplies indicated.
Vessels arriving at Gravesend and surrounding ports report cargoes including Saltpetre Wool Nicaragua Wood Granite and Sundries. Notable items include 2723 bags Saltpetre 300 bales Wool and 500 bags Rice along with Castor Oil Sugar Linseed Cassia Rattans Jute. Also notes of sailings from Alexandria Batavia Calcutta and New York with various destinations and weekly import deliveries in London for the week ending February 10th, 18/4.
