Prices Current Arrivals and Market Movements in Hops and Commodities

The arrivals today include a French and a Flanders mail. Bordeaux shows little change in sugar coffee and cotton while indigo and hides rise. Marseilles reports strong demand for colonial sugars and higher prices with large cotton purchases. Coffee remains firm with no change. West India, Dutch, and Hambro mails delayed. Oil and ebony listings show limited activity with prices around 40s to 41s per cwt and 58s per ton respectively. Hops trade expands with second-rate New Hops selling at 10 to 12 pounds. higher grades stay scarce. Currency and price details for Kent pockets bags and yearlings appear with varied asking prices.
