At the Cam perdoen Cheese and Butter Factory Coy. Ltd. monthly meeting held at the factory the manager reported receipt of 408 208 lbs of cream and 875 dozen eggs. Casein and trading departments were discussed with turnover and total pay for the month listed as 113 3 4 18/5 Gong L4605/10/3, higher than the same month last year.
The Mortlake aid district reports that Bergt. Hugh Turner, son of Mr and Mrs John Turner, Mortlake, has been awarded the Military Medal for gallantry. Turner served at Gallipoli after landing and fought in France, earning two wounds and ten days’ leave in England. His brothers are also in active service.
